Texas Water Development Board approves $450,000 to the Sandbranch Water Supply Corporation (Dallas County) for water and wastewater projects

AUSTIN – (August 5, 2020) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $450,000, consisting of $150,000 in loan forgiveness from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and $300,000 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, to the Sandbranch Water Supply Corporation (Dallas County). The Corporation will use the assistance to finance planning costs associated with providing water and wastewater service to the Sandbranch community.

With the financial assistance from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund, the Corporation will fund the planning phase for a centralized wastewater collection system to replace existing septic systems. With the financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, the Corporation will fund the planning phase for a new water distribution system to provide potable water to the area.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
